Virgie May Frazier

Virgie May Frazier was born December 1, 1903 in Oregon County, Thayre, Missouri.  Virgie May Frazier's parents were Jesse N. Frazier (born 1875 in Missouri) and Paralee (Ballard) Frazier born 1883 in Arkansas).  Virgie May Frazier came to Bristow, Oklahoma in 1918 where she married    Vernon L. Gowdy, Sr. on September 18, 1921.  They farmed in Bristow, Oklahoma City and Miami, Oklahoma.   Together they had eight children: Vernon L. Gowdy, Jr., Lavan Owen Gowdy, Charley Gowdy, Virgie Louise Gowdy, Lena May Gowdy, Marjorie June Gowdy, Grace Helen Gowdy and Karen Fay Gowdy.  Virgie was a resident of Miami, Oklahoma the past two years before she passed away July 31, 1971 at the age of 67.
