Hermie D. Goudy, 79, of Blue Mountain died on Friday, December 8, 1978.
Mr. Goudy was a retired farmer and a member of Deentown Baptist Church.
Services were held on Saturday, December 9, at 3:00 p.m. in McBride Funeral Home Chapel with burial in Blue Mountain Cemetery. Bro. Donald Byers was the officiating minister with Bro. Lesley McClure assisting.
He is surviving by his wife, Mrs. Lura L. Goudy of Blue Mountain; three sons, Don Goudy of Blue Mountain, Joe Goudy of Hickory Flat, and Lawrence Goudy of Memphis; three daughters, Mrs. Cletus Caviness of Memphis, Mrs. Christine McClure of Murfreesboro, Tenn., and Mrs. Mildred Mask of Blue Mountain; 13 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; and 2 great-great-grandchildren.
Pallbearers were Terry Goudy, Wayne Caviness, Guy Carter, Bobby Mask, Allen Manning, Paul Harrington.
