"There are a few Gowdy's residing in the Netherlands as well.  My parents Patrick G. Gowdy and Mary E. Gowdy -Murdock came over from Belfast to Amsterdam early in the 60's and shortly after that my sisters and me were born.  Since my sister has a son and I have two daughters there are - at least to our knowledge - eight Gowdy's living in Holland.
