GOWDY FAMILY
Video Clips!
I came across some video of Virgie (Frazier) Gowdy and Vernon L. Gowdy , Sr., taken with a Super 8mm camera back in the late 60's. The video which was on reels back then, had been transferred to a VHS tape. I made several .avi files that one can download and then view using media player software such as Quicktime or whatever you use. I also have some video of the Family Reunion held in Arkansas City, Kansas in August 1967, taken with a Super 8 Camera.
And finally I have video taken with a VHS camcorder of the Family Reunion held in Bristow, Oklahoma, June 12, 1988.
These clips aren't the full length because of download time required for the file but at least you get some footage!
